Sussex Police charge man after Brighton armed siege

A man has been charged with a firearms offence after an armed siege in Brighton.

Part of the city centre was cordoned off for about three hours while Sussex Police dealt with the incident on Monday.

No shots were fired and nobody was injured.

Officers said a 34-year-old man had been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.
