Two charged over Horsham screwdriver stabbing

Two men have been charged after a woman was stabbed in the face and head with a screwdriver.

The 61-year-old woman needed surgery after she was attacked outside her cottage in Brooks Green, near Horsham in West Sussex on 18 February.

Karl Cruise, 54, of Brittany, France, has been charged with attempted murder and conspiracy to murder.

Bruce Killick, 63, from Brooks Green, has been charged with conspiracy to murder.

Both men are due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 17 March.

A 61-year-old woman from Barnham has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

Sussex Police said she had been bailed until 6 April while investigations continue.
