Elderly van driver arrested after Rye bike crash death
An elderly van driver has been arrested after a motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with two vehicles.
A Rye man, 20, suffered fatal injuries when his Suzuki SV1000, a Vauxhall van and Vauxhall Zafira crashed in Harbour Road, Rye, on Wednesday.
The road was closed to allow an air ambulance to land on the carriageway but the biker was pronounced dead.
Police said an 83-year-old man from Littlehampton was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He was released on bail until 1 May.
The driver and passenger in the car were not thought to have been injured.
