Man injured in Shoreham 'machete' attack

Shoreham machete attack The victim was attacked by three men, according to Sussex Police

A man suffered serious injuries when he was attacked with what police believe was a large knife or machete.

The 47-year-old victim was found with a head wound in Buckingham Street, Shoreham, at about 03:15 GMT.

A fight between the man and three others had been reported in Freedom Street before the three attackers were seen running off.

The injured man is in a serious but stable condition in the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

Sussex Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
