Driver hurt in Chichester head-on crash dies

A driver who suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash between two cars in West Sussex has died in hospital.

The 63-year old Midhurst man was driving a Toyota 4x4 which collided with a Peugeot saloon on the A27 at Oving crossroads near Chichester.

He was taken to St Richard's Hospital for treatment for a suspected heart attack but died on Thursday.

Two adults and two children travelling in the Toyota suffered minor injuries. The Peugeot driver was unhurt.

Sussex Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash on Monday to come forward.
