A house fire in East Sussex has left six people in hospital, one with serious burns.

The other five have been treated for smoke inhalation after the blaze broke out on the ground floor of an end of terrace property in Portslade.

All six casualties are being treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, after the blaze broke out earlier.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has begun an investigation into the cause of the fire.
