Teenager dies in St Leonards scooter road crash

A 17-year-old boy has died in hospital after his scooter collided with a car crashed in St Leonards, East Sussex.

Oliver Corby-Eaglen, of The Green, St Leonards, was critically injured when his Piaggio bike hit a Ford Mondeo in London Road on Sunday.

He was taken to the Conquest Hospital before being transferred to Hurstwood Park neurological unit, Haywards Heath, where he died on Wednesday.

The driver of the car, a 36-year-old man from Dover, Kent, suffered shock.

Sussex Police have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact officers.
