Flash-flooding hits homes in Littlehampton and Bognor

Firefighter tackling floods Firefighters were called to six homes in Littlehampton and a number in Bognor

Flash flooding has hit homes in Littlehampton and Bognor Regis in West Sussex following heavy rainfall.

The flooding in Littlehampton is close to where dozens of properties had to be evacuated last summer when the town saw 4ft (1.2m) deep flood water.

Firefighters were called to six homes in Littlehampton and several in Bognor at about 09:00 BST on Saturday.

Construction of a £12m tidal defence wall in Littlehampton is due to begin at the end of the year.
