A 66-year-old woman who died after her car was in collision with two lorries in East Sussex has been described as a "very loving wife and mother".

Sylvia Davies, of London Road, Battle, was pronounced dead at the scene, on the A21 near Hurst Green on 18 July.

One of the lorry drivers, a 27-year-old man from Hertfordshire, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, and bailed until 20 September.

Mrs Davies' family said her death had left "a great hole in their lives".

Her husband, David, said the grandmother-of-six was a "local girl who knew just about everyone and everything about Battle".

"She touched the lives of literally hundreds of people around Battle," he said.
