Driver, 66, killed in A21 two-lorry crash

A woman has died after her car crashed with two lorries in East Sussex.

The 66-year-old from Battle was driving a Suzuki Alto northbound on the A21 near Hurst Green when the crash happened at 12:05 BST.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, Sussex Police said.

One of the lorry drivers, a 27-year-old man from Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He remains in police custody.

The A21 was closed in both directions for several hours.

Any witnesses are asked to contact Sussex Police.
