A24 West Sussex collision: Woman dies

A 20-year-old woman has died after her car was involved in a collision during the morning rush hour in West Sussex.

Her Nissan Micra and a Ford Focus crashed on the A24 north of Kingsfold at 07:30 BST.

Sussex Police said the collision blocked the northbound carriageway of the Horsham to Dorking road.

The woman, from Dorking, was declared dead at the scene. The other driver, a 49-year-old man from Horsham, was taken to hospital with slight injuries.

The road was reopened shortly before 12:30 BST.
