Ex-teacher Christopher Robin Jarvis to face sex charge trial

A retired teacher charged with sex offences against seven boys at a school in Sussex in the 1960s and 70s has been committed for Crown Court trial.

Christopher Robin Jarvis, 69, of Duke's Drive, Eastbourne, is charged with 13 offences against boys at St Peter's Preparatory School, in Seaford.

Brighton magistrates remanded him on bail to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 27 September.

St Peter's, which was an independent school for boys, closed in 1982.

The offences, which include indecent assault and inciting boys to commit gross indecency, are alleged to have taken place between 1966 and 1977.

Mr Jarvis was charged after allegations were originally made against him in October 2012.
