Seaford school warns parents over sick notes

Help

A Sussex head teacher has written to parents to tell them they should only keep their children off school because of "serious illness".

Seaford Head School is attempting to increase its attendance rate of from 94% to 96%, but some parents have said they do not need teachers to tell them how to react when their children are ill.

East Sussex County Council Lib Dem member Carolyn Lambert said parents should welcome the school's guidance.
