Father with buggy struck in Brighton hit-and-run

A car crossed a carriageway and mounted a pavement before striking a man who was pushing his young son in a buggy.

The 26-year-old father managed to shove the pushchair, with the 13-month-old in it, out of the way before he was hit.

The blue Ford Fiesta then drove off. The father suffered grazing to the leg and the baby was uninjured, Sussex Police said.

The incident happened on Freshfield Road in Brighton at about 16:00 BST on Saturday.
