Polling station changes to tackle congestion
Voters have been urged to check which polling station they need to visit after several venues changed in Sussex.
Mid Sussex District Council said the venues had been moved to accommodate increasing numbers of voters and to ease congestion at polling stations.
The changes have come in since the police and crime commissioner elections.
County council elections and four local by-elections will take place in the Mid Sussex district on 2 May.
The changes affect polling districts in Lindfield, Haywards Heath, and Burgess Hill.
The authority said details of polling stations were on voters' poll cards.
Deputy county returning officer Tom Clark said: "When you vote at the same polling station for many years it becomes almost routine and it may not occur to you to check your polling card to see where to vote.
"We don't want anybody to have a wasted journey so please make 100% sure your polling station has not changed before leaving the house."
