Brighton campaigners submit village green bid

Campaigners have submitted an application for a field in an urban area of Brighton to be made a village green.

Cardinal Newman Catholic School wants to put a fence up around its sports field off Dyke Road Park.

But local residents say it will ruin a green space loved by the community.

The campaigners took a donkey to Brighton Town Hall to support their application to the council earlier.
