Driver dies at Selsey care home crash scene

A 55-year-old driver has died after his car hit the wall of a nursing and residential home in West Sussex.

Sussex Police said the Mazda MX8 hit The Old Malthouse, a care home for the elderly and disabled, in High Street, Selsey about 11:00 GMT.

The driver, a local man who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead at the scene. The High Street was blocked for four hours at the School Lane junction.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
