Police have released a new photograph of a murdered homeless man in appeal for more information.

Lea Williams was found dead on Hove seafront on 11 February.

The 45-year-old had been battered to death and was discovered next to a pitch-and-putt course near Western Esplanade.

The photograph was part of a bundle found next to his body in an archway where he had been living for the past year.

Det Insp Wendy Burton, from Surrey and Sussex major crime team, said: "We would really like to speak to the person who took this photograph as they may have taken others or have information that could help with our inquiries.

"The exact date that the photograph was taken is not known but it was printed locally in October 2012.

"Although Lea was quite a private person, he did have some friends and was known to staff from the many homeless projects in the area.

"Everyone is devastated by his brutal death and wants justice for him."
