Gang attacks Horsham couple with baseball bats

A couple have been attacked by four men wielding baseball bats who barged into their house in West Sussex.

The attack in Granary Way, Horsham, left the 31-year-old woman and 27-year-old man with minor injuries, but neither required hospital treatment.

The men, all wearing balaclavas, forced their way into the property at about 02:20 GMT after arriving in two cars.

Police said they believed it was a targeted attack, though nothing was stolen from the house.

In an appeal for witnesses, Det Sgt Glenn Willcocks said the cars were thought to have been a dark-coloured Peugeot and a Ford Focus.
