Saddlescombe pensioner in A23 road crash named

A 95-year-old man who died nine days after his car left the road in West Sussex has been named as Leo Marks.

Mr Marks, from Saddlescombe Road, Saddlescombe, was driving his Toyota Starlet car on the northbound A23 when it left the road at Pyecombe.

His car left the road as he turned into the A281 West Road at 16:10 GMT on 23 January and he hit a large street sign.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex Hospital with serious injuries where he died on Friday.
