Driver dies after 'falling ill' at wheel in East Grinstead

A 64-year-old woman has died after she apparently fell ill at the wheel of her car and collided with another vehicle.

Sussex Police said the Toyota Auris the woman was driving, and an Audi A4, crashed at a junction with the A22 in East Grinstead on Thursday.

A spokesman for the force said: "It is believed the collision happened as a result of a medical incident involving the driver of the Toyota."

He appealed for anyone with information to contact officers.
