Lewes road tree crash driver named

A 38-year-old man who was killed when his car hit a tree on a country lane in East Sussex has been named.

Glyn Andrew Thomas, of Town Littleworth, Cooksbridge, died when the Audi A3 he was driving left the road shortly after 01:00 GMT on Saturday.

The accident happened between Deadmantree Hill and Barcombe Cross, near Lewes.

A 43-year-old male passenger from Cooksbridge was treated for minor injuries following the incident.

Officers have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to contact Sussex Police.
