Police have released CCTV images of two men they want to trace following a squatting protest in which an MP said he had "missiles" thrown at him.

Conservative MP Mike Weatherley was led to safety by police during the protest at the University of Sussex in Falmer, near Brighton, on 14 November.

Det Con Sophie Tullett appealed for the two men in the images to help the force with its investigation.

A man held on suspicion of affray the week after the row was freed on bail.

Sussex Police said Mr Weatherley, who represents Hove and Portslade, was taken "to safety" by officers during a disturbance and a member of his team was reported to have suffered a slight injury during the incident.

The MP had been due to address students during the campus visit.

The University of Sussex said it believed the violent disruption was led by activist protesters from outside the university and not its students.
