Garages on housing estates across Brighton have been demolished to make space for dozens of "affordable" homes.
According to Brighton and Hove City Council, the demolition is part of a £100m house building programme.
Initially 29 homes will be built, with more than 500 planned overall.
Councillor Liz Wakefield said: "This is an opportunity to build new homes that are not only eco-friendly but save us millions in the long term because they are wheelchair friendly."
The former garage sites include ones in Hollingdean, Hangleton and Portslade.
