Jeremy Forrest did not fight extradition proceedings in France
A teacher who travelled to France with a 15-year-old pupil has been charged with child abduction after being extradited back to the UK.
Jeremy Forrest, 30, of Ringmer, East Sussex, will appear before Eastbourne magistrates on Thursday.
He arrived at Gatwick Airport earlier on a flight from Bordeaux in south-west France, where he was held last month.
He had travelled to France with Megan Stammers on 20 September and was arrested a week later in Bordeaux.
Mr Forrest is a maths teacher at Bishop Bell C of E School in Eastbourne, which Megan attends.
The teenager returned home to her family in Eastbourne on 29 September.
