Lorry driver killed in Handcross A23 crash

A lorry driver was killed when his vehicle crashed on to a verge on the A23 near Handcross in West Sussex.

Police said he was declared dead at the scene on the southbound carriageway just after 12:45 BST on Thursday.

The road was closed for four hours while specialist teams recovered the articulated lorry and the dumper truck it was carrying.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward with information which might assist their investigation.
