Soldier Trevor Clark remanded on sexual assault charge

A soldier who is charged with sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman near Bexhill railway station has been remanded in custody.

Trevor Anthony Clark, 20, is accused of attacking a woman as she walked from the East Sussex station on 19 August.

Mr Clark is stationed at Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire, but had been staying in Buckhurst Road, Bexhill.

He appeared at Hastings Magistrates' Court on Monday charged with sexual assault and causing actual bodily harm.

The defendant was remanded in custody to appear at the same court on 4 September.
