Brighton footballers plead not guilty to sex assault

Three Brighton and Hove Albion players and a Bournemouth footballer have pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting a woman, and voyeurism.

Anton Rodgers, 19, Lewis Dunk, 20, George Barker, 20, all from Brighton; and Steve Cook, 21, of St Leonards; appeared before Lewes Crown Court.

The alleged incident happened at the Jury's Inn hotel, in Brighton, in July 2011.

The four, who were released on bail, will face a trial on 21 January 2013.

Mr Rodgers and Mr Barker, both of Highview Avenue North, Brighton; Mr Dunk, of Woodbourne Avenue, Brighton; and Mr Cook, of Perth Road, St Leonards; were arrested by Sussex Police in January.
