Brighton footballers face trial over alleged sex assault

Three Brighton and Hove Albion players and a Bournemouth footballer will face trial accused of sexually assaulting a woman and voyeurism.

Anton Rodgers, 19, Lewis Dunk, 20, George Barker, 20, and Steve Cook, 21, appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court for the committal hearing.

It allegedly took place at the Jury's Inn hotel, Brighton, in July 2011.

The four, who deny the charges were released on bail and are due at Lewes Crown Court on 3 August.

Mr Rodgers and Mr Barker, both of Highview Avenue North, Brighton, Mr Dunk, of Woodbourne Avenue, Brighton, and Mr Cook, of Perth Road, St Leonards, were arrested by Sussex Police in January.
