Hadlow College offers fruit industry apprenticeships


An agricultural college in Kent has started apprenticeships in the fruit industry after fears skilled migrant workers are becoming less attracted to England.

Apprentices from Hadlow College will learn scientific and technical skills behind the fruit industry.

Experts believe fruit farming is being supported by skilled migrant workers from Eastern Europe but many of them are heading home as their own economies improve.
