Consultation on merger of Crowborough schools

Two schools may formally merge in East Sussex after sharing a head teacher and governing body for the past three years.

Whitehill Infant School and Herne Junior School, in Crowborough, started sharing resources in 2009.

East Sussex County Council (ESCC) said a merger would be in line with the authority's policy of creating "all-through schools".

Parents and pupils will be consulted on the proposal, the authority said.
