Dog walker finds cannabis plants growing in Sussex

Cannabis plants have been found growing in grassland near woods in West Sussex.

A man walking his dog in Paige's Meadow, Haywards Heath, came across a clearing containing the plants.

Police said the site was on the north side of Paige's Wood, at the end of a winding footpath in an area with young trees and overgrown with brambles.

Thirty-three cannabis plants ranging from new shoots to plants were seized along with cultivation equipment and items used to secure the site.
