No action against boys held over Connor Saunders' death

No charges are to be brought against two teenage boys arrested on suspicion of the murder of a 19-year-old man.

Connor Saunders, from the Woodingdean area of Brighton, suffered head injuries in West Street in Rottingdean on 14 April and died a day later.

Two boys, aged 13 and 14, were told no action would be taken against them after answering bail on Tuesday.

A 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with manslaughter.

He will next appear at Brighton Youth Court on 15 May, when his case will be committed to crown court.

A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: "A 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy, both arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of Connor Saunders, have today been informed that they will have no further action taken against them at this time."
