Boy denies murdering Darren Croxton in Hailsham

A 16-year-old boy has denied murdering a young father in East Sussex.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of stabbing Darren Croxton in Hailsham on 22 January.

The teenager entered a not guilty plea during a hearing at Lewes Crown Court. He will next appear at the court on 7 June.

Mr Croxton, 25, was found with stab wounds in Bramble Drive and died the next day. He had a young daughter and lived in Hailsham.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Croxton died as a result of wounds inflicted with a knife.
