Brighton and Hove council staff to donate presents

Christmas presents Presents will be distributed by three charities

Brighton and Hove City Council has launched its Smile at Christmas Appeal for children across Sussex.

Staff are being encouraged to donate wrapped presents for children and young people at the Sussex Beacon which cares for people with HIV and Aids.

Presents will also be distributed by the Federation of Disabled People, which promotes independence for the disabled.

Rise, a charity which supports victims of domestic abuse, will also benefit.

The presents will be collected by the Mayor and representatives from the charities on 16 December and then distributed in the run-up to Christmas.
