Brighton campaigners hold meetings over Saltdean Lido
Campaigners fighting to safeguard the future of a swimming pool in Brighton are holding a series of meetings.
The Save Saltdean Lido Campaign has set up three meetings on Sunday to discuss the council's options for the site.
Brighton council said the lido needed to be repaired and options included serving a notice on the operator.
Lido leaseholder Dennis Audley has said he wants to turn the pool into an all-year leisure facility and build flats and new facilities including a library.'Building at risk'
The future of the site will also be discussed at a Brighton council meeting to be held by the culture, recreation and tourism cabinet member on Tuesday.
A campaigners' petition will be presented to the meeting and all interested parties including councillors, campaigners, Mr Audley and Saltdean Residents Association have been invited to speak.
Last month, Brighton council said conservation experts had been called in to examine the state of the lido following its inclusion on English Heritage's "buildings at risk" register.
Council officers were considering next steps forward which included serving a notice on the operator requiring repairs to be made and taking back the lease.
