East Sussex mill Stamco Timber hit by fire
Fire crews have tackled a large blaze that broke out at a Sussex timber mill.
Crews were called to Stamco Timber in Highfield Drive, St Leonards-on-Sea, at 1130 BST.
A spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the mill was evacuated as a precaution but there were no reports of any injuries.
Crews from Hastings, Battle, Broad Oak, Eastbourne and Rye attended the scene. The fire was bought under control at 1330 BST, the spokesman added.
A spokesman said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
