Winter vomiting bug closes two wards at Sussex hospital

Two wards at a Sussex hospital have been closed to new admissions because of an outbreak of norovirus.

The illness, known as the winter vomiting bug, affected patients at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

Three wards were initially affected two days ago with one already reopening.

Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust said when the wards were free from symptoms for 48 hours they would reopen them.
