Man arrested over arson attacks in Reigate and Horley

A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a series of fires in Surrey.

The 43-year-old man was arrested in Epsom following the fires in Horley and Reigate over the past two weeks.

They were a fire at a property in Massetts Road, Horley, on Wednesday and blazes at three sports clubs in Reigate between 22 June and 28 June.

The man has been released on bail until 21 August. Surrey Police have asked for any witnesses to contact them.

The first fire was at the Horley Lawn Tennis Club, in Vicarage Lane, on 22 June and was followed by another at the Churchfield Bowls Club, in Church Walk, on 26 June.

This was followed by a blaze at Old Reigatian Rugby Club, Park Lane, on 28 June.
