Charlwood's Greyhound pub raid: Woman threatened with knife

Armed thieves threatened a woman at knifepoint before forcing her to open the safe at a Surrey pub.

Two men broke into the Greyhound in Charlwood in the early hours, woke up the woman, aged in her 30s, and then stole cash.

Surrey Police said officers were trying to establish how much was taken by the thieves during the raid.

Det Insp Paul Gordon described the attack as "a terrifying ordeal for the victim" and appealed for information.

He added: "At this stage in the investigation we believe the property was specifically targeted because the burglars made very detailed demands and I am sure someone will be able to link the pieces together and provide us with information on the offenders."
