Boy in court charged with Elizabeth Thomas Oxted murder

A teenage boy charged with the murder of a 17-year-old girl has made his first appearance at crown court.

The 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of killing Oxted School sixth-form pupil Elizabeth Thomas.

Elizabeth, of West Wickham, south-east London, was found stabbed to death at a flat in Oxted, Surrey, on 24 January.

Guildford Crown Court remanded the boy into secure accommodation until his next court appearance on 19 February.
