Two New Year's Day crashes partially close M25 in Surrey

A second crash has occurred on the same stretch of the M25 in Surrey where a woman was killed earlier.

The woman, in her 30s and from London, was a passenger in a blue Lexus which collided with a lorry between junction 11 for Chertsey and junction 10 at Wisley at about 01:40 GMT.

She died on the way to St George's Hospital in Tooting.

Another crash then shut the road anti-clockwise between junctions 10 and 9 at Leatherhead but it has since reopened.

A Surrey Police spokesman said the car's driver suffered minor injuries.
