Slyfield Green fire death: Arrested woman bailed

A 37-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of murdering a 92-year-old man who died after a fire at his home has been released from police bail.

Frederyk "Fred" Kucharski was rescued from the fire in Slyfield Green, Guildford, on 6 July but died in hospital five days later.

A 25-year-old man also arrested on suspicion of murder has had his bail extended until 20 January.

Both were initially held on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Kucharski died from injuries sustained in the fire.

Surrey Police said an investigation into his death was continuing.
