Surrey Police sacks finance chief Paul Bundy

The head of finance at Surrey Police has been sacked for gross misconduct, the force has said.

Surrey Police said Paul Bundy was dismissed after allegations of failure to disclose a change in personal circumstances and mishandling of internal information were proven.

A spokesman said Mr Bundy had been dismissed, subject to any appeal, with immediate effect on Tuesday.

He said Mr Bundy was not subject to a criminal investigation.

"The misconduct did not relate directly to the financial responsibilities of the head of finance role and did not involve leaking to the media," he said.
