Five arrested after Tadworth pub assault
Five men have been arrested after a man in his 30s was taken to hospital with head injuries following an assault outside a pub in Surrey.
The attack happened just before 01:00 GMT outside the Fox and Hounds in Walton Street, Tadworth.
Surrey Police said the victim's injuries were not thought to be life threatening at this stage.
The five men, all aged between 19 and 25, are being held on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm.
"There was a private function at the pub at the time and although we have already spoken to a number of witnesses I believe there are others who hold vital information which they have not yet shared with us," said Det Con Steph Worrell.
She also urged anyone who was suspicious about someone who may have returned home with ripped clothing or injuries to come forward.
