Eleven people have now been arrested after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in Surrey, police have said.

Seven men were detained on suspicion of attempted murder after a brawl between a large group of people in Ewell on Monday night.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and one on suspicion of a public order offence.

A further man has been arrested on suspicion of the theft of a vehicle.

A Surrey Police spokeswoman said 10 suspects were arrested on Tuesday and the 11th on Wednesday.

All the suspects, who are aged in their teens or early 20s, have been released on bail until 13 December.

The teenager suffered stab wounds in the fight and was taken to hospital with serious chest injuries.

Surrey Police said his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

The force has said the altercation, in the Watersedge area, happened at about 19:30 GMT and was between groups of people who are believed to be known to each other.

A £1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and charge of at least one person has been offered by Crimestoppers.
