Surrey Police worker charged with fraud

A member of staff at Surrey Police has been charged with three counts of fraud.

Helen Tye, 44, has been suspended from her role in the secretarial team at the force's headquarters in Guildford.

A police spokesman said the alleged offences related to a voluntary role she held with an organisation based in the Godalming area.

Ms Tye has been bailed to appear at Aldershot Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
