A man accused of stabbing another in a Surrey street has pleaded guilty to a lesser GBH charge.

The victim, in his 20s, suffered "serious injuries" during the attack in Galsworty Road, Chertsey, on 15 June.

Richard Donovan, 48, of Bunyard Drive, Woking, pleaded not guilty to GBH with intent. However, he pleaded guilty to inflicting GBH.

A trial will still go ahead at Guildford Crown Court over the more serious charge.
