Sport England awards £90,000 for Redhill sports zone

A council in Surrey has been awarded almost £90,000 to spend on a new sports area.

The money was granted to Reigate and Banstead Borough Council for the sports area in Memorial Park, Redhill, by Sport England's Olympic legacy fund.

The sports zone forms part of the authority's £1.4m revamp of the park.

The council said the existing games area and tennis court would be refurbished and another court built.
