M25 bridge thrown objects damage vehicles

Damage costing thousands of pounds to repair has been done to vehicles hit by objects thrown from a footbridge over the M25 in Surrey over the past week.

On Monday evening a lorry received minor damage as it passed under the Brook Road bridge in Merstham.

A lorry's windscreen and the emergency exit door of a coach suffered damage put at £3,000 on Thursday evening under the same bridge.

A 15-year-old boy from Merstham has been arrested and remains in custody.
